Authentic Ocean Drive Experience

My husband and I stayed at the Beacon two weeks ago. Our stay there was short, just three nights, but we have the best memories about our stay: our room was very nice, with modern furnishings, very clean; staff was very friendly and helpful (they even provided us with a comp bottle of sparkling wine on our arrival because this visit was a b'day present for my husband). Having breakfast right out on Ocean Drive was a very nice touch also. Some reviews mention that rooms and bathrooms are smallish, which is true but we did not find the small size to be a problem because again everything was very nice and clean. There was only one problem: our AC died on the second day of our stay and they never got to fix it. That did not cause us any huge discomfort because we used the fan, but it would have been nice to have a working AV. I recommend taking a walking tour that's given by the Visitor Center, starts daily at 10:30 am (Ocean Dr. and 14 street, I think) - it costs $20 but you get to learn so much that you'll be looking at Ocean Drive from a wholly new perspective :)

Perfect in every way!

My boyfriend and I bought a Google offer for this hotel and we were amazed!. Ususally, when you purchase one of these deals you are a bit afraid of the service you will get since you are paying way less that people usually pay, but that was not the case here. They treated us like we were the most important people there. Anything we needed, they were able to provide. The hotel is in a perfect spot right accross from the beach, there are a ton of restaurants(including The Place which is the one at the Beacon) that you can go for great drinks and great food, shopping, EVERYTHING! We really didn't have to leave the area for anything. Chris, Julio and another gentleman who;s name I believe starts with an A were super helpful the whole time. We loved it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. Amazing all the way! If I had anything negative to say at all, it would be that the rooms are tiny, but that is expected because of the age of the hotel. I'm sure all of the hotels on Miami beach have the same issue.

Great spot to experience South Beach

What a fun place to chill for a few days! We loved being able to grab the supplied folding chairs and stroll to the beach, or walk a few blocks up the street for a relaxed dinner while people watching. This is an older building so the rooms are small- the bathroom was about the same size as the one in our cruise cabin- but well maintained. Creative, colorful artwork brightens the lobby. The free al fresco breakfast was tasty. A very good value for the location- we would certainly stay here again.

My experience at the Beacon was PERFECT. My flight was super early and I arrived by 10am to the hotel. Not only was I given a room, but an ocean view upgrade was given. Everyone was SO nice. Free breakfast was DELICIOUS. Transportation to the cruise port was on time. After my cruise I was even able to go back and the Beacon held my luggage so I could go to the beach until my flight. The Beacon was amazing and accommodating in every way. THANK YOU! Can't wait to go back, hopefully soon!

Derek, Christian, Gus, and the rest of the staff were on point! Great gentlemen with good tips on the social scenes; very personable and helpful. The bartender was hardworking and often pulled in several directions. The room was a little less than average with low water pressure in the shower and dirty windows stifling the view of Ocean Drive and the beach. Overall, I would gladly return!

We stayed there last week and loved it!! Great accommodating staff and super location. With so much to do in SoBe we did not spend much time in the room although it was clean and very comfortable. Our room was ready early so when we arrived at the Beacon we were able to unpack, change and be on the beach within a half hour. Can't wait to come back next year ...

Nice suite with beautifull ocean and beach view. If I return to Miami I will stay at Beacon again. I appreciated taking the breakfast outside on Ocean Drive.

This is our second stay at the beacon. We will definitely stay here again! The location is great and the staff is wonderful! The rooms are clean too and the food at the restaurant is delicious! I can't wait to come back!!!

i loved the place in the middle of everything. best location yet to stay in miami they cleaned my room everyday which i found excellent i would recommend this hotel to anyone and hopefully stay there once again soon

Would like to thank Derek, Christian and all the staff at The Beacon for making our stay great.
Nothing was too much trouble and every wish was granted.
We stayed there post cruise for the second year running and once again were not disappointed.
The location is great, right in the middle of the action, the room, #504, was fantastic with panoramic views of the beach and strip.
